The EXPOSIM project was proudly represented at the 13th International Symposium on Biological Monitoring (ISBM13) by Maria Helena Anderson, Manosij Ghosh, Rani Claus, Susana Viegas, and Carla Martins. Together, they joined leading experts in the field to share insights, explore new collaborations, and contribute to the vibrant scientific dialogue on biological monitoring.

On Wednesday, 10 September, Dr Manosij Ghosh, EXPOSIM’s project co-coordinator from KU Leuven, co-chaired the session “Major ongoing studies at international level” alongside Prof. Paul Scheepers. During the session, he delivered a dedicated talk titled:
“Environmental stressors as causal determinants for immune-mediated diseases – mapping and prioritizing evidence for knowledge-based policy making in the EU-project EXPOSIM.”
His presentation showcased how EXPOSIM is systematically mapping and prioritising evidence on environmental stressors and their role in immune-mediated diseases, providing an evidence base to inform EU policy.
On Friday, 12 September, KU Leuven PhD researcher Rani Claus presented her work during the session “Field studies in occupational setting – III”. Her talk highlighted ongoing research within EXPOSIM, bringing forward new insights into occupational exposure and its health implications.
