In Poland, EXPOSIM partner the Central Institute for Labour Protection – National Research Institute (CIOP-PIB) has established a strategic cooperation with ELWOZ ECO, a company operating in the waste management sector. This collaboration focuses on advancing occupational health and safety standards in waste sorting plants, where workers are routinely exposed to a combination of physical, chemical and biological hazards.

On 11–12 February 2026, the EXPOSIM consortium met in Barcelona for its General Assembly meeting. Partners reviewed progress across work packages, addressed methodological challenges and aligned on next steps to strengthen exposure modelling, cohort integration and translational impact.
EXPOSIM 1st Symposium Highlights: Advancing Public Health Through Exposome Research

On 5 February 2025, EXPOSIM successfully hosted its first symposium on human exposome research and public health, bringing together researchers, policymakers and stakeholders from across Europe and beyond. Titled “Cumulative Exposures, Collective Impact: Advancing Public Health Through Exposome Research,” the event explored how exposome science can inform prevention strategies, public health action and policy-making.
